As well as supervising orders and licences, social work staff promote opportunities for individuals to access a range of support services that can also contribute to reducing the risk of further offending whilst addressing a range of issues such as:

Criminal Justice Social Work and Adult Learning Services work together to provide offenders with dedicated support to address difficulties with reading, writing and numbers. The 'No Barriers' programme is available to anyone being supervised by the criminal justice team.

Individuals who have take part in No Barriers have been supported to access employment, training and further education opportunities.
