Royal messages of congratulations

Apply to receive your royal message of congratulations for your featured wedding anniversaries.

Celebratory royal messages of congratulations from HM The Queen are sent to those celebrating their 100th or 105th birthday and each birthday after that. An application can also be made for couples reaching the following wedding anniversaries to receive a royal message of congratulations:

  • Diamond anniversary (60 years)
  • Blue sapphire anniversary (65 years)
  • Platinum anniversary (70 years)
  • Every subsequent anniversary

The Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, Mr Guy Clark, who is the Queen's representative in this area, can also make arrangements for these special royal celebratory messages to be read out by one of his local Deputy Lieutenants at a related family occasion if the Renfrewshire Lieutenancy Office is contacted in advance.

To inform the Lord-Lieutenant about an upcoming special birthday or anniversary a few weeks prior to the event, get help to arrange a royal message of congratulations, or request that a Deputy Lieutenant reads out the message at a related family occasion, please contact the Lieutenancy Office through this link to the Lord Lieutenant of Renfrewshire website.
