A new pedestrian crossing is to be installed on Crookfur Road.
The location of the crossing has been chosen to ensure that there is a link for pedestrians to cross between Newton Heights & Mearns Green to Greenlaw Village, that also keeps the traffic moving safely.
Alterations to Greenlaw Village Roundabout are proposed to:
- Improve visibility from Greenlaw Village
- Improve circulation around roundabout.
Refurbished & improved set out of lane markings on Crookfur Road & South Greenlaw Way approaching Greenlaw Village Roundabout.
For visual proposals, view the Proposed Puffin Crossing, Crookfur Road, Greenlaw - Public Notice [962kb].
The proposed electrical connection works are due to commence in December 2016. The pedestrian crossing is to be constructed following the electrical connection.
