Santa hats and walking boots for Christmas winter wander
A choice of four walks at walking celebration in Rouken Glen Park.
A walking celebration is taking place with a special Christmas 'winter wander' and a choice of four walks in Rouken Glen Park on Wednesday 14 December.
Walkers can choose from taking an historical stroll with Archaeology Scotland, join a Rouken Glen ranger to explore the park's bird life, a short walk round the pond or walk round the surrounding area of the park.
The free event is aimed at bringing together people from across East Renfrewshire who enjoy walking.
Organisers want more older people to come along to the Christmas walk and discover the benefits of joining a walking group for themselves.
On their return all walkers can enjoy a hot drink, scone and a mince pie along with carol singing and live music.
Please wear suitable warm clothing and walking boots and bring your binoculars to see the wildlife. Pop on your Santa hat too.
Transport will be provided for anyone who needs it to get to the park.
Registration for each walk will take place at the Pavilion in Rouken Glen Park from 9.30am on Wednesday 14 December. All walks start at 10am.
If you'd like to go along, or would like transport to the event, please get in touch with Sine Delahunt on 0141 451 0750 or 07894 802349 or via email.
