East Renfrewshire residents are being asked for their views on the Council's proposals to implement revised parking restrictions in areas of Newton Mearns and Williamwood & Giffnock South.

The consultation, which will run until Friday 26 May 2017, is part of an on-going review of all the waiting and loading restrictions currently in force throughout East Renfrewshire.

Proposals for Newton Mearns include new restrictions around schools and on bus routes, as well as other restrictions on and around Harvie Avenue, Maple Avenue and The Loaning. The removal of clearway restrictions on Ayr Road is also being suggested.

In Williamwood and South Giffnock the plans being put forward include amendments and removals of current restrictions and some new restrictions in the vicinity of Davieland Road, Seres Road, Lothian Drive, Dorian Drive and around the Eastwood Toll area.

Residents are being encouraged to share their views on the plans, which will allow final proposals to be developed before being presented to residents as part of a formal consultation later this year.

Full draft proposals can be found at the Williamwood & South Giffnock waiting and loading restrictions review page.

All comments or suggestions on the proposals should be emailed to or sent in writing to East Renfrewshire Council, Parking Section, Environment Department, Roads & Transportation Service, 2 Spiersbridge Way, Thornliebank, G46 8NG.
