Breastfeeding Welcome

Scottish Breastfeeding Awareness Week is taking place across Monday 3 June - Friday 7 June, and there are a number of events being held across the week for new parents, soon-to-be parents and carers to receive help and advice.

Monday 3 June:
Breastfeeding peer support will be available throughout the day with Babybox Sling demonstrations available in the afternoon.
Time: 09:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00

Tuesday 4 June
Breastfeeding peer support will be available along with Babybox Sling demonstrations
Time: 09:30 - 12:30

Wednesday 5 June
Breastfeeding peer support will be available throughout the day with Baby massage and Bookbug tasters (plus craft activities) available in the afternoon. Pop-up Babycafe breastfeeding group available 13:30 - 15:00.

Thursday 6 June
Breastfeeding peer support along with Babybox Sling demonstrations will be available throughout the day. Baby massage and Bookbug tasters (plus craft activities) will be available in the afternoon. Babycafe fun day (13:30 - 15:30).

Friday 7 June
Breastfeeding peer support will be available in the morning.

UK legislation protects a mother's right to breastfeed her child in any place that the child is allowed to be, without interruption or intrusion. East Renfrewshire Council and HSCP welcome breastfeeding in all their buildings, places and spaces and have a policy to support this.
