Views sought on polling districts and places review

Polling places review

Residents are being asked for their views as part of a Council review of polling districts and places in East Renfrewshire after the approval of a new draft polling scheme.

East Renfrewshire Council is keen to hear the views of residents to ensure that electors have reasonable facilities for voting and that all polling places are accessible for everyone.

Every local authority must review its polling districts and polling places every five years to ensure voting arrangements remain fit for purpose and up to date, with a public consultation forming part of the review.

You can have your say by writing to Eamonn Daly, Democratic Services Manager, Election Office, Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, G46 6UG no later than Friday 23 August 2019.

Further information and a copy of the new draft polling scheme can be found here.

After this deadline, and consideration of all representations received, a report containing the final proposals for polling districts and polling places will be submitted for consideration at a meeting of the Council in September.
