As with many of our services, our Roads team are also operating on a reduced basis.

As of 24 March 2020, the quarries required to carry out resurfacing works and patching/potholing have closed. There will be no further resurfacing works carried out for the time being and the Roads team will move to emergency repairs only.

All sites that were active have been closed down and, where possible, made safe and opened to the public.

Customers will still be able to submit requests for repairs, but only emergency repairs can be carried out at this time.

Spaces for People in East Renfrewshire

East Renfrewshire Council have secured funding through the Sustrans and Transport Scotland 'Spaces for People' programme to identify temporary response measures that help residents practice physical distancing and to move around safely in public spaces during the COVID-19 emergency.

This is in order to limit virus transmission and to enable residents to safely walk, cycle and wheel for essential journeys and exercise.

As part of this emergency response we looking for views from the public on issues and opportunities to improve safe physical distancing when walking, cycling and wheeling in your area.

For more information and how you can help us identify areas where measures are required please visit:

The consultation is open until 31 July 2020.
