Removal from the electoral register

How to take your name off the electoral register or alert us to a name you think should be removed.

Each year the local electoral registration office (Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board) confirms who should be included on the register as part of the annual canvass (door-to-door survey or via enquiry forms mailed out). The annual canvass takes place each year and the process begins around September with the Register of Electors published on the first of December.

If you wish to remove your name for whatever reason (no longer wish to vote or are moving house), please contact the Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board directly:

Registering a death

Normally when registering a death in East Renfrewshire we notify the electoral registration officer automatically.

If you are still receiving election related mail for a deceased voter, please contact the Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board directly: 0300 300 0150.
