If you are aged 16-25 and have been through the care system, extra support is available via Family Firm to help you into employment, training or further education.

How does it work?

Leaving school and finding a job can be a tricky and confusing time for young people. Emma Aeppli, Family Firm Coordinator works with you to help identify career paths that interest you. Based on your aspirations and goals, Emma can set up a work placement and offer good, realistic advice on anything job-related. Other support can include training, working on your confidence and support with applying for jobs. Everything will depend on your individual circumstances and needs.

What options are available?

  • work experience placements tailored to your individual goals that last as long or as little as is beneficial
  • advice and personalised support to access local training and employment opportunities
  • support with transition to Further and Higher education
