Unpaid Work Requests - Terms and Conditions

Before the Unpaid Work Team can work in your home or community, please read the terms and conditions.

  • They can only do the work if nobody else is available to do the work and you cannot afford to pay someone to do it
  • You must supply and pay for all materials. For example, paint, paper, paste and wood
  • Work is carried out by people who are completing unpaid work as part of a Community Payback Order
  • A maximum of five 5 people will work in your home or garden. An Unpaid Work supervisor will supervise them at all times
  • A supervisor will introduce themselves on the first day of work and show you identification
  • The supervisor make sure workers treat your home with respect and carry out work to the best standard possible
  • The council has a no smoking policy
  • You should keep all values locked away. For example, money and medication
  • If you have any concerns during the work, please speak to the supervisor or contact this office
  • A member of staff may visit you while the work is going on and when it's complete
