Police Scotland vishing warning

The UK is seeing an increase in vishing fraud activity especially targeting the elderly.

Police Scotland have issued a warning following a recent spike in vishing fraud activity, especially aimed at the elderly.

Vishing is the fraudulent practice of making phone calls or leaving voice messages purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as bank details or credit card numbers.

If you are concerned for yourself or your family, contact Police Scotland on 101.

You can find out more on vishing my visiting Police Scotland's Little Book of Scams online booklet
