East Renfrewshire District Nurses work as part of a multi disciplinary team to offer support and advice to people who have a serious illness.

East Renfrewshire District Nurses work as part of a multi disciplinary team to offer support and advice to people who have a serious illness. The care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness with the goal being to improve quality of life for both the patient and family, in their preferred care setting.

What is available?

  • Your District Nurse will carry out a full assessment and offer ongoing support for you and your family

  • Referral to the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, or Accord Hospice, for support at any stage of your illness

  • Referral to a local outreach clinic, which is provided by the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, in the Eastwood Health and Care Centre for expert advice, knowledge and support

Specialist palliative care is also offered by the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and the Accord Hospice:
