How to get your free flu vaccine if you're aged 60 to 64.
On Saturday 12 December and Sunday 13 December the final flu vaccination clinics for people aged 60 to 64 will take place.
East Renfrewshire residents are able to attend any of the 3 remaining flu clinics to receive their flu jab. There are no set appointment times so residents are able to drop in at any of the 3 clinics that suit them best - times and locations in the table below.
When attending the flu clinic it's important to adhere to social distancing, wear a face covering and use hand sanitiser when entering and exiting the building.
When you arrive at Barrhead or Eastwood Health Centre, please enter through the main front door. You'll be greeted by a member of staff, who'll direct you to be booked in. You may be asked to queue or wait depending how busy the clinic is at the time you're called to get your vaccination. Strict social distancing measures will be in place and patients attending are asked to follow the signage and floor markings. The processes and systems in place within the buildings will ensure staff and patient safety at all times.
Anyone who lives in East Renfrewshire but their GP practice is outside the authority, can also attend any of our clinics.
People in this age group who have already received a flu vaccine since September 2020 don't need to attend another flu vaccination appointment.
Residents are permitted to travel to their flu vaccination appointment while the area remains in tier 4. Strict infection and prevention control measures will be in place at the clinics.
If you've any questions about the flu programme, phone the NHS inform flu line on 0800 224 488.
