Your Voice in Health and Social Care
Find out how to get involved with the Health and Social Care Partnership and engage with the local community.
We'll be at the Community Safety Day at Auchenback Resource Centre Barrhead on Thursday 10 August from 10am till 3pm. Come along and speak to us if you see us. Find out more about the event.
Your Voice is a network of local individuals and organisations who are interested in health and social care services and want to be involved in how they're designed and delivered in East Renfrewshire. We work with the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) to inform, improve and review health and social care services.
Your Voice Working Group meets regularly to plan activity in the community and feedback information to the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).
How can I get involved?
Anyone who lives or works in East Renfrewshire can be a member of Your Voice.
Next meeting
Date: Wednesday 9 August 2023
Time: 1pm to 2.30pm
Location: Voluntary Action, 56 Kelburn St Barrhead
We will have Joanne from the Technology Enabled Care Team along to update on what they are doing.
We are always looking to grow our Your Voice membership. We'd like to encourage anyone who lives or work in East Renfrewshire, and who may be interested, to come along to one of our meetings and find out more about what we do.
If you would like to attend please contact us first to give us your details. Email: hello@va-er.org.uk or Phone: 0141 876 9555.
Could you be a public representative on East Renfrewshire Integration Joint Board (IJB)?
The IJB is the main decision making body for all health and social care services in the area and has representation from the HSCP, NHS, Councillors public members and more. There is currently an opportunity for a public member with lived experience of using services to give and represent views and opinions on behalf of the public.
If you live in East Renfrewshire and are interested in finding out more please contact us and we can explain more about the opportunities and expectations of the role and support to attend. There are usually 6 meetings a year. These are currently online at the moment.
Good Practice Guide
We've produced a Guide to Good Practice, which you'll find in our related media section on the left of the page. This aims to help people settle into a new or existing group and for that group to encourage public participation and engagement generally. This has been informed by our experience of being part of various other groups over the years. Please contact us if you would like a printed copy.
