Fly-tipping is a criminal offence. Use this service to tell us about fly-tipping.  

If you see someone fly-tipping please also report the details to the police. 

We don't remove fly-tipping from private properties. 

If you're a landowner, it's your responsibility to remove waste that has been dumped illegally on your land and dispose of it responsibly. For advice on preventing fly-tipping visit https://www.zerowastescotland.org.uk/litter-flytipping/private-land.

Before you start

We need to know:

  • the location of the fly-tipping
  • description of the items

You can also upload a photo. This may help us to resolve the issue quicker. 

How to report

If you'd like us to investigate a fly tipping issue please email cleansing&recycling@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk providing as much detail as you can. 

What happens next

First we'll check who owns the land.

If the land belongs to us, we'll carry out a site visit and arrange for the appropriate team to remove the items. 

You'll be kept updated on the progress of your fly-tipping report.

Fly-tipping fines

If you're caught fly-tipping you could be fined up to £10,000. You could also face up to 6 months in prison.
