We are seeking the views of local residents and businesses on how successful the trial seating areas which were installed in Clarkston have been.
The seating areas - known as parklets - were put in place in 2019 following a consultation with the local community which helped to build a vision and strategy for Clarkston town centre.
The project saw an extended raised deck built on Busby Road's northbound inside lane, providing additional functionality for local businesses and improved outside space for local people.
When the parklets were installed, we committed to a community review after a period of 18 months to decide whether they should remain in place or be removed and this consultation is now live.

Residents who live close to the parklets, along with local businesses, will receive information on this consultation in writing. Closing date for the consultation is Monday 13 December.
