Business waste collections

Find out about waste and recycling services for businesses in East Renfrewshire.

We've moved to an online based system for our business waste customers. Existing customers will receive an email inviting you to sign up, claim your account and join our online provider - Permiserv. This online portal allows you to see all your Business Waste details in one place, with the added advantage of improved flexibility and accessibility. Service information

We provide a weekly, fortnightly or monthly kerbside waste uplift for general, recycling and food/garden waste for all local businesses within East Renfrewshire.

Businesses have the option to pay for this service upfront for the year or monthly via direct debit. *Please note if choosing the direct debit option, a payment may be required up front to cover the first few collections due to bank deadlines for setting up direct debit.

Free recycling collection

Businesses that produce more than 500 litres of general waste per week are entitled to free recycling collection.

If you wish to get rid of your own commercial recycling via our Barrhead Civic Amenity Site please register with SEPA as a waste carrier (PDF) [59KB]  and email the completed form to the Business Waste team.

All customers can use our Commercial Waste Recycling Centre free of charge. It's located at the Barrhead Household Waste and Recycling Centre.

Special commercial uplifts

A special uplift charge will be payable for any additional uplift to a trade customer. To arrange this, email business.waste@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk.

Contaminated recycling containers

If your container can't be collected due to contamination, a special uplift charge will be payable for any additional uplift to a trade customer. To arrange this, email business.waste@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk.

What happens next?

Please allow us 5 working days to review and process your application. Payment may be required up front before we deliver the requested bin for your first collection day.

If we do not have the bin that you require in stock, alternative options to the same literage will be offered at the same price.
