Destruction arrangements
Records are destroyed in a timely and appropriate manner and records of their destruction are maintained.
Introduction
We have to properly dispose of records when they come to the end of their retention period. This applies to both electronic records, conventional media and information storage systems
Compliance
We use a reputable disposal firm to shred and recycle paper records. A full record is permanently retained of all files in the records store which have been shredded. The disposal of electronic media and information systems is recorded and properly evidenced.
Improvement actions and review
We'll continue to monitor destruction arrangements as new records systems are developed.
