Help our communities thrive

We want East Ren to be a place where everyone can flourish, thrive and live well.

So, we all need to do our bit to support local businesses - helping to keep our towns the unique and vibrant places we're proud to call home.

With such great choice, it's easy to shop, dine and love local.

It's also a great way to stay connected to nearby family, friends and neighbours.

We've created a social media focused marketing campaign to inspire residents to Love Local, showcasing and celebrating the wide range of amazing local businesses across the area.

Featuring 25 local businesses, the short social media videos cover a number of themes including pets, interiors, food, coffee, shopping and wellness. They will also be displayed on the Council's digital noticeboards in town centres.

The series of videos aims to encourage residents to help their own communities to thrive by supporting local businesses. Specific videos will also profile recent investment in Thornliebank and Barrhead as well as highlighting the key role of the local Business Improvement Districts in Barrhead, Clarkston and Giffnock.

We've also teamed up with a number of social media influencers to raise awareness of the fantastic local businesses and places to visit in East Renfrewshire to new audiences, as well as encouraging a sense of pride amongst residents.
