Before you start

You need a short term let licence if:

• you're a new host or operators. This means that you can advertise but not take bookings or receive guests until you have obtained a licence.
• you're an existing host / operator and wish to renew your application (every 3 years)
• you wish to transfer your licence to a new host / operator
• you wish to apply for a licence for a new build property either prior to or during the construction phase.

What happens next?

We'll acknowledgement receipt of your application by autogenerated email and issue you with a Provisional licence number as soon as reasonably practical (usually within 5 working days). We'll then check your application and ensure the required evidence has been submitted. We will contact you within 10 working days should we need any other information.
