Recycling points

Location of recycling points across the area. Materials accepted at each recycling point.

There are numerous recycling points available throughout the East Renfrewshire area. As far as possible, these are sited in places that best serve the local community, and offer convenient facilities for residents to recycle the following materials:

  • steel and aluminium food and drinks cans, including aerosols without lids
  • glass bottles and jars (clear, green and brown)
  • Tetrapaks and cartons
  • paper and cardboard packaging
  • clothes and textiles

Food waste is not accepted at recycling points.

Recycling points are for household waste only. Businesses found to be using recycling points will be subject to fines. Please see business waste for information on how to manage commercial waste and recycling.

Recycling points are un-manned and on occasions we may rely on you to tell us if there is a problem at a particular site, i.e. fly-tipping or servicing required due to unusually high usage. Please report fly-tipping using the online form and any problems problems through Customer Services:
