Support can help you stop for good

This article was first published on: 18 February 2016

A new, free stop smoking and lifestyle programme is starting in Thornliebank on Tuesday 23 February.

Everyone who attends will get support to stop smoking and learn new ways to improve their lifestyle and health.

During the fourteen week session, topics that will be covered include coping techniques, home safety, getting connected, saving money, getting active, how to learn to relax, being drink aware and eat better to feel better.

"We are working in the heart of the Thornliebank community to run this programme so that we can support residents in their local area who want to make positive changes to benefit their health and lifestyle. From stopping smoking, through to home safety advice everyone who comes along can access great help and information in a friendly and supportive environment."
- East Renfrewshire convener for health and social care, Councillor Lafferty.

The group starts on Tuesday 23 Feb at 1.30 to 2.30pm in Thorntree Hall, Thornliebank.
