Our employability service, Work EastRen, is setting up a support hub in the Dunterlie Resource Centre where staff will be available to offer expert advice to help find work.
Work EastRen help the local community in East Renfrewshire prepare for, find and get work. The team supports people who are unemployed, just out of school and those looking for a new challenge with training opportunities, assistance with searching for jobs as well as help with CVs and getting ready for interviews. They also provide a wide range of support and services to local businesses.
Staff will be available to speak to in Dunterlie every Tuesday and Friday (10am until 12pm) from Tuesday 8 November. No appointment is required, so the community is welcome to drop-in.
Councillor Danny Devlin, Convener for Environment and Housing said: 'Our Work EastRen team provide really valuable services to both residents and business across East Renfrewshire, so it is great that they're setting up this hub for the Dunterlie community. The past couple of years have had a devastating effect on employment and I'm sure there will be many people who don't know where to turn, but help and support is available and I'd encourage anyone in the local area to drop in and speak to staff.'
This new hub is funded through the Scottish Government's Place Based Investment Programme.
