We've brought together a range of useful information with details of where and how to access it, to help support your health and wellbeing.

If you're in the British armed forces or are a veteran, a reservist or a family member of someone who is serving or who has served you can access a range of specialist healthcare and support created to provide treatment and care for many different problems.

Who counts as a veteran?

You are a veteran if you have served in the UK armed forces for at least 1 day. Non-mobilised reservists are also regarded as veterans.

There is a range of support available in East Renfrewshire and within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS area.

Health for Heroes

Health for Heroes is an armed services veterans' health initiative, developed in partnership with a local veteran who needed lots of support when he left the army due to periods of poor mental health. Find out about Health for Heroes and read how it helped one of our veterans improve their mental and physical health.
