Featuring 25 local businesses, the short social media videos cover a number of themes including pets, interiors, food, coffee, shopping and wellness.

The series of videos aims to encourage residents to help their own communities to thrive by supporting local businesses. Specific videos will also profile recent investment in Thornliebank and Barrhead as well as highlighting the key role of the local Business Improvement Districts in Barrhead, Clarkston and Giffnock.

Environment and Housing Convener, Councillor Danny Devlin, said: 'We want East Renfrewshire to be a place where everyone can flourish, thrive and live well. It's up to all of us to do our bit and use local businesses whenever we can, to help support a strong, diverse and inclusive local economy. These upbeat and engaging new videos are a great way of reminding residents how lucky we are to have so many great shops and services on our doorsteps. By choosing to shop, dine and love local it helps our communities to thrive and in turn, helps our towns to remain the unique and vibrant places we're proud to call home.'

As well as being rolled out on the Council's Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Youtube accounts and displayed on digital information boards in town centres.
