No previous experience or qualifications are necessary. All training will be provided by our in-house training team to give you the skills and confidence to enable you to succeed.
You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK to apply. Under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, we are required to see documentation confirming this. Proof of your National Insurance Number (NI card, HMRC letter) and a full British birth certificate or a Passport issued in the United Kingdom or other documentation issued by the UK Border Agency will suffice if you are offered employment.
Working with us
Our home care service is delivered 365 days a year and we have various contract sizes (of up to 35 hours per week) and various shift patterns during the operating hours of the service (8am to 10pm, 7 days a week) available.
If you're not able to commit to a regular work pattern, then please still get in touch, as we can discuss how you could potentially join our bank of staff, who cover absence within the service when the need arises.
The hourly rate starts £12.88 per hour. Enhancements of 15% are paid for weekend and evening working. Working with us, you'll also receive generous annual leave entitlement, access to the local government pension scheme and a range of attractive benefits.
Working as part of our team of carers, you'll deliver care and support within local areas across East Renfrewshire.
What happens next
Within 3 working days, a member of the team will be in touch and you'll be emailed a link to complete an application.
Providing you're successful you'll then be contacted to attend an interview and asked to complete Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme paperwork. This will allow us to check for any criminal offences, which must be disclosed in advance.

The HSCP is a partnership between East Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. A key priority of the partnership is to ensure that the care and support we deliver enables people to remain safe and supported in their own homes and communities.
