East Renfrewshire Kinship Support Services
Within East Renfrewshire we benefit from having a dedicated Kinship Social Worker who can provide individual and group support to kinship carers ranging from:
- providing support and advice to kinship carers for attending multi agency meetings
- referrals to partner agencies such as our money advice and rights service
- advice and support with referrals for housing, education, and mental health supports
- support and guidance in areas such as life story, identity, understanding trauma, and developing parenting strategies and approaches
- offering emotional support on one to one or group
- kinship support groups
