Jobs fair set for Barrhead
We're holding a jobs fair at the Foundry in Barrhead, where a wide range of local employers will have recruitment opportunities available.
Work EastRen, our employability service, is working in partnership with the DWP for this jobs fair. Employers signed up so far cover a variety of industries including construction, security and care and there will be contract and permanent job vacancies.
The fair is taking place on Monday 18 March from 9.30am until 11.30am on the first floor of the Barrhead Foundry. As well as employers, Work EastRen will have staff available who can offer advice and support on applying for jobs, tips for interviews, help with CVs, training opportunities and much more.
Employers confirmed attending on the day so far include Graham Construction, The Valley Group, East Renfrewshire HSCP, Stafffinders, McGills Buses, Mearns After School Care, Mitie, G4S, Social Security Scotland, Scottish Prison Service and Dusting Donnas.
Councillor Danny Devlin, Convener for Environment and Housing, said: 'If you're looking for work or your next role, this event will be a fantastic opportunity to not only speak with local employers, but also get some tips from Work EastRen staff on how to secure your job. We've got a great range of employers coming along, so I'd encourage anyone who can, to head along to the Foundry.'
