The programme, which is funded by the Scottish Government, is open to applications for capital projects that support local economic development and regeneration such as environmental improvements to neighbourhoods and greenspaces or making better use of land and existing buildings.

Applications must be able to show support for their initiative from the local East Renfrewshire community and the funding is open to community groups, public sector organisations, charities, housing associations, Council and HSCP services and private companies/business.

We're set to receive around £2.3m over the lifespan of the PBIP and this third round allocation is £385,000.

Housing and Environment Convener, Councillor Danny Devlin, said: 'This is a fantastic regeneration opportunity for our towns and villages. We are committed to improving and upgrading areas across East Renfrewshire and this funding allows the community to get involved and get projects moving. We've already seen some great activity through this programme, so if you have an idea for one of our neighbourhoods, I'd encourage you to take a look at the information on our website and get in touch with the team.'

The deadline for applications is Friday 7 April, however, it is recommended that potential applicants submit expressions of interest to our Economic Development team at business@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk prior to making a full application. Find out more about the programme.
