Businesses invited to funding and support roadshows
We're holding a second series of events to share information on grant funding and other support available to help develop and strengthen local businesses.

These events, held across East Renfrewshire over the coming months, will be hosted by our Economic Development team, alongside Work EastRen and Business Gateway East Renfrewshire, all offering expert advice to the local business community.
Each event will focus on a different topic and the specific grant funding available, including growth, energy efficiency, workforce development and net zero. The events will also provide a networking opportunity and a single point of contact to enable access to tailored support.
These free events are open to all East Renfrewshire based businesses.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Wednesday 30 August (9am - 10.30am) at the Greenlaw Works, Newton Mearns - Grant funding and how this can help your business and an introduction to fair work practices.
- Wednesday 20 September (9am - 10.30am) at the Barrhead Foundry - Information and grant funding to support businesses who are looking to upgrade business premises with a focus on energy efficiency and energy cost reduction.
- Tuesday 24 October (9am - 10.30am) at Thorntree Hall, Thornliebank - Grant funding and support for your workforce, helping to grow and diversify your business.
- Wednesday 6 December (11am - 2pm) at the Mearns Community Hub, Newton Mearns - A drop-in session on funding and support to help your business on its journey to Net Zero.
East Renfrewshire Council Environment Convener Danny Devlin said: 'These events are a great opportunity to find out about the grant funding and support we have available this year. You'll also be able to speak to advisors on a range of relevant topics and network with the local business community. We're committed to supporting the local economy and ensuring businesses have help available to them, so please take a look at the list of events and book your place.'
