Neighbourhood Traffic Management Zones

Neighbourhood Streets represents the community participation element of "Neighbourhood Traffic Management Zones" (NTMZ), currently being trialled as a pilot project in East Renfrewshire.
NTMZ categorise residential roads (otherwise known as 'Neighbourhood Streets') into a series of local 'Neighbourhood Zones'. This is intended to involve communities in future neighbourhood level improvements with respect to traffic, parking and moving around.
74 Neighbourhood Zones within East Renfrewshire have been identified with delivery planned over several years. In May 2024 residents living in 16 of these zones will be contacted in writing and asked to:
- Share experiences moving around their neighbourhood
- Highlight issues they would like see addressed
