Once you sign up for Council Tax Online you can: 

  • sign up to paperless Council Tax billing to view your bill online
  • set up a Direct Debit to pay your Council Tax
  • apply for a single person discount
  • tell us you've moved in or out of a property
  • tell us about a change in your circumstances
  • apply for a council tax discount or exemption
  • update your contact details


To sign up for Council Tax Online you need your account number which is on your last bill.  If you don't have it email ctax@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk confirming your name, full address and how you pay your council tax. If you pay by Direct Debit you also need to confirm the last 4 digits of your account number. If you pay using another method confirm your payment date and amount.

If you've forgotten your username select the 'forgotten username' link when you sign in to get your username. If you've forgotten your password select the 'forgotten password' link when you sign in to reset your password.

 You can see your Council Tax bills instantly in your secure online account any time.  You won't get paper bills in the post which is great for the environment.

To view your bill select Council Tax bill from the popular services quick links on the right.

Select the 'update' link next to your contact details to update your details.

Once you're signed in, under popular services, select 'account activity' to see your balance.
