The archives are stored in the records store at Williamwood High School. We hold the historic records of several of our previous local authorities, and of various other local organisations of historical interest.

Access to the council archives is by appointment. If you are not sure exactly what you want to look at, but would like to learn more about the local area or to view our local studies collections held in our libraries, the heritage service can help:
You can also have a look at Portal to the Past. This contains a searchable database allowing you to access information about thousands of items in our collection including, maps, photographs, documents, museum objects and much more. Many items are available to view online, particularly our photograph collection.

How do I get to the archives?
