We've published an overview of our latest performance information.

Annual Performance Report 2024 to 2025

Published: 9 September 2025

The annual performance video offers an insight into our performance for 2024/25 and outlines how we're sowing the seeds for East Renfrewshire's long term partnership vision - A Place to Grow.

A Place to Grow is East Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership's strategic vision which sets out the shared hopes and aspirations for East Renfrewshire between now and 2040. It aims to set the area on a course where everyone in East Renfrewshire can flourish, thrive and live well, with the video structured around these three themes.

We're showcasing some of our highlights and achievements from the past year and these include:

  • East Renfrewshire continues to be the top performing education authority in Scotland
  • The new Early Years Outreach Service has enhanced the support available to young children with additional support needs, building capacity for early year practitioners and helping parents and carers to support their child's development
  • 89% of care experienced children are supported in the community rather than a residential setting - better than the Scottish average
  • In response to the housing emergency, 110 affordable homes have been built, the number of homeless households assisted has doubled and nearly £3million has been invested in temporary accommodation
  • Top position in Scotland reclaimed for household waste recycling rates
  • Improvement in local roads with a 29% decrease in pothole reporting compared to 2023/24
  • More people helped with money and debt which has achieved a record financial gain of over £10m for 5,500 residents
  • In combating scam calls, over 63,700 calls were blocked - equivalent to 1.6 calls per household
  • East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust recorded a high of 4,275 gym memberships reporting positive customer experience.

Alongside the video, a series of case study interviews have been produced, showcasing impactful programmes that are helping to changes people's lives:

  • Thrive Under 5 - delivered in partnership with East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership and Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire, this initiative supports families with young children to develop healthy eating habits, enjoy nutritious meals, and stay active through fun, engaging activities
  • Parental Employment Support Programme - led by Work EastRen, this programme funded by the Scottish Government, provides tailored support to local parents, helping them to find and sustain employment and develop skills whilst improving their families' financial wellbeing
  • SPARKS Group - a person-centred occupational therapy initiative for adults newly diagnosed with ADHD, ran by East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, offering meaningful support to help individuals develop tools and strategies they can use on a day-to-day basis whilst fostering positivity and self-confidence through peer support.

Councillor Owen O'Donnell, Leader of East Renfrewshire Council, said: 'It's pleasing to see the strong progress the Council and our partners have made towards laying the foundations of its Community Planning Partnership vision - A Place to Grow.

'A Place to Grow sets the vision for 2040, which provides a future where our children and young people flourish, our communities and places thrive, and we all live well, so it's great the Council has impacted positively for its residents and local communities over the past year as we work together to achieve even more for our local area.

'By looking beyond short-term challenges, this new vision sets out how we can work together to deliver an even better future for our local area whilst delivering on our ambitions.'
