Council housing

Find out information about council housing and how to apply.

Bidding for a council property is done through our self-service online portal, MyEastRen. You'll need to register for Housing Online  before you can apply for Council housing.

East Renfrewshire is extremely popular with housing applicants. However, we have a relatively small number of around 3,000 properties and we only let approximately 150-200 each year on average. Unfortunately, this means the vast majority of our applicants will wait several years before an offer of housing can be made.

We therefore suggest our applicants look at additional social housing providers while still applying to our list.
