Council to help residents with energy efficiency

New advisor with Housing Services

Energy advice

We've launched a new energy cost advisory service for anyone struggling with gas and electricity bills or those looking to make homes more energy efficient.

As the cost of fuel continues to rise and the colder months are approaching, many people are left worrying about their bills, but support and advice is available.

The new service offers free, impartial help and information on anything related to home energy including help managing bills, assistance with energy debt, advice on grants residents may be entitled to and how to make homes more energy efficient.

Housing and Maintenance Convener, Councillor Danny Devlin, said: 'As winter approaches, we don't want anyone to have to think twice about putting their heating on, so this new service is a fantastic resource for anyone who is worried about their energy bills or wants to know how to keep their homes warm. I would encourage anyone in East Renfrewshire who has concerns around energy to get in touch with us.'

To find out more or to book a home visit with our dedicated Energy Cost Advisor, email john.duff@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk or if you don't have online access, call 0141 577 3001.
