Penalty Charge Notices 

Parking attendants can give a fine if you don't follow parking rules. This is also called a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

The rules for giving PCNs are different for off street car parks and on street parking.

Drivers must check street plates to find out the times they're allowed to park.

Off street car parks

We can give PCNs for: 

• parking outside a marked bay
• parking in disabled person's bay without displaying a Blue Badge

• trading from cars

We can give PCNs for: 

• parking on yellow lines during times not allowed
• parking outside allowed times
• parking for longer than allowed in bays

We're not responsible for all car parks. Some are run by private companies.
