Construction and retail jobs fair set for Barrhead
We're holding a jobs fair at the Foundry in Barrhead, where a variety of construction and retail employers will be offering a wide range of job opportunities.

You can meet local and national employers face-to-face, and apply directly for vacancies. Employers signed up so far include Heron Bros, Valley Group, Lidl, Card Factory, Starbucks, McDonalds and Burger King, and they'll be offering a variety of short-term and permanent job vacancies.
The fair is taking place on Wednesday 22 March from 3pm until 6pm on the first floor of the Barrhead Foundry. As well as employers, Work EastRen, the Council's employability service, who are hosting the event, will have staff available to speak to people about jobs advice, including tips for interviews, help with CVs and job related training opportunities.
Councillor Danny Devlin, Convener for Environment and Housing, said: 'If you're looking for a role in retail or construction, this event is a fantastic opportunity to not only speak with local employers, but also get some employability tips and advice from Work EastRen staff. We've got a great range of employers signed up, so I'd encourage anyone who can, to head along to the Foundry later this month.'
