A rent review is carried out annually, to reflect inflationary pressures, changes in costs and our strategic housing priorities.
We'll always give advance notice of forthcoming reviews and potential changes.
Our rent setting complies with the following and subsequent legislation:
- Housing (Scotland) Act 1987
- Housing (Scotland) Act 2001
- Equalities Act 2010
Your rent is vital income we use to carry out core landlord functions such as:
- repairs, maintenance and investment in improvements to your home
- management of the neighbourhood you live in
- support for vulnerable tenants
- our aim to continue building new council homes
All social landlords assess what income is required to continue to provide an effective and customer focused service to tenants, whilst balancing the need to keep their rents affordable.
