Applications you can make to us
The following applications can't be made through the ePlanning.scot website, but can be made directly to us:
Please note, there's no additional administration fee for submitting the above applications by email or in paper.
What happens next
We'll respond within 20 working days from when we get your application and fee. We'll write to you to confirm if your application is valid and ready to process.
Please note, due to Covid-19, planning applications may take longer than normal to process.
From 1 October 2020, due to a significant backlog of work that has built up due to the Covid-19 lockdown, we'll be unable to offer verbal or written pre-application planning advice for most developments. Exceptions will be made for major developments and those promoting significant economical benefit and job opportunities. In such a case, email your enquiry to the Planning team.
We apologise to customers for any inconvenience that this causes and we aim to restore the service as soon as possible.
If you wish to make any substantial alterations to your proposal once you have consent, then you'll need to apply again. However, if it's only a minor (non-material) change then you can apply for a non-material variation (document available in the 'Before you start' section of this web page).
Fees and how to pay
We no longer accept cheques. You can only pay by debit card or credit card.
Calculate your fees on the ePlanning.scot website or look at the 'scale of fees' document above.
You can also phone our payment centre.
Lines are open Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.15pm. You must quote the reference number or address that the planning application relates to.
